A match notice that keeps failing is retried once, then recorded as missed
When a lead opens for quotes, every matched expert gets a notice. If that notice failed to reach an expert (for example, their email has no address and they had switched the in-app inbox off), it was sent again on every nightly run for as long as the lead stayed open. Each attempt failed the same way and logged the same error.
Now a failed match notice gets one more try: the next time anyone sends match notices for that lead, or on that night’s run. If that try fails too, the platform stops and records the missed notice against the lead, naming the expert. An SDM who adds the expert to the lead by hand gives them two fresh tries, for example once their email address is fixed.
