Rejection reasons now reach only the people they were written for

A bid can be rejected by three different people, and until now their words all went to the same place. That meant the platform could not tell a manager’s internal review note from a customer’s own reason for turning down a quote — and on the proposal page, the customer of a lead could read wording that was never meant for them.

Each reason is now stored under the person who gave it, and the proposal page shows each one only to the people entitled to it:

  • Customers see the reason they gave when rejecting a quote, and nothing else. A manager’s review note is no longer visible to them.
  • Experts see every verdict on their own bid — the reviewer’s, the note sent when a lead was awarded to someone else, and the customer’s — so nothing about why a bid closed is hidden from the person who made it.
  • Managers see all of it, as before.

Each reason appears as its own card headed by whoever wrote it, so it is clear at a glance whose words you are reading.

Reasons recorded before this change have been sorted into the same structure. Where the original author could not be established from the record, the reason is shown to managers only rather than guessed at — so a small number of older rejections may now appear only to your managers.
