Invoice alerts now say what they mean for you

Two invoice alerts went to everyone involved in the same words — the expert’s. A customer receiving a bill was told “Your invoice has been approved”, and a customer who had just paid one was told “Your invoice has been paid”. Both are true from the expert’s side of the transaction and misleading from the customer’s.

Each alert now speaks to the person reading it, in the notification centre and in the email subject alike.

When a manager approves an invoice, the customer is told an invoice is ready to pay, with a link straight to the project workspace where it can be paid. The expert is still told their invoice has been approved.

When a customer pays, the customer gets a confirmation that the payment has been recorded. The expert is still told their invoice has been paid, and the project’s managers are told an invoice has been paid.

Nothing changed about who is notified, or about your notification settings — only the wording each person sees.
