Quotes show the delivery cost, the platform fee and the customer price

When a bid is accepted, its quote now carries three figures: the expert’s delivery cost, the platform fee on it, and the total price the customer pays. The fee uses your workspace’s markup at the moment the quote is issued, and it stays fixed on that quote even if the markup changes later.

What changes for you

  • Vendors, CSMs and SDMs see the quote’s reference, expert delivery cost, platform fee (the amount and the percentage), total customer price, the proposed start and completion dates, and when the customer approved or declined it. A workspace with no markup set issues quotes with no fee, and the quote says so.
  • Customers see the quote’s reference, total price, dates and their own decision. Bids no longer show a price before the quote is issued; once it is, the accepted bid shows the quote’s price.
  • Experts see their delivery cost on the quote and on their invoices, and their earnings count that cost.
  • Invoices bill the customer price, so what a customer pays for each milestone matches the quote they accepted.
  • Bids read Submitted, Reviewed, Selected or Unsuccessful to vendors, CSMs and SDMs. A bid reads Reviewed once the lead’s CSM or SDM has opened it, and goes back to Submitted when the expert sends a new version. Experts still see Accepted and Rejected.
  • New quotes are numbered by request, for example QTE-26-1. Existing quotes keep their reference.

Quotes issued before today show the same figure for cost and price, with no fee line. The fee is recorded and shown on the platform. Nothing is invoiced or collected through it.
