A permission you grant now opens the pages it protects

Roles come with a set of permissions, and you can give an individual something their role does not normally hold. Until now that grant only went halfway: the sections and buttons inside a lead appeared, but the full list page they linked to still turned the person away, and it did so without saying why — they were simply sent back to their home screen.

That gap is closed. A permission you grant to one person now opens the pages that permission protects, in the same moment it opens everything else.

What it looks like

Proposals are the clearest example. Bid review belongs to service delivery managers, so a customer success manager holds no proposal permission by default. Grant one of them the two proposal permissions and they now get the whole capability: the Proposals section on the lead, the accept and reject controls inside it, the Proposals list page, and the Open button on each row, which lands where it says it will.

What has not changed

Nothing opens that you did not grant. Every page still checks the permission itself when it loads, and a page that turned someone away before a grant still turns them away after one.
Taking a permission away still works the way it did. Removing someone’s grant closes the capability at the page and the action, which is where it was always enforced.
A few pages are deliberately narrower than the permission that protects them. Some configuration screens stay limited to particular roles, and satisfaction responses at CSAT keep their existing audience, because that page shows a whole workspace’s responses to anyone it lets in rather than narrowing to the reader’s own. Granting someone the satisfaction permission does not open it.
Viewing the workspace as someone else still shows you that role’s normal access, so it stays a faithful preview rather than a view widened by your own administrator permissions.

Where to check who can reach what

Settings → Scope and licences lists the pages each role can open. Those lists show the roles that hold a permission by default; someone you granted it to individually reaches the page as well, even though the list is organised by role rather than by person.
