Notifications say which lead, request or invoice they are about
A notification used to say “A new bid has been submitted” or “An invoice has been disputed” and leave you to open it to find out which one. Now the notice names its record, in the bell and in the email that follows it:
- Customer success and delivery managers see the lead number on bids, quotes, invoices, escalations and concerns — for example “Lead #18: Nina Whitlock submitted a bid”. The email subject names the lead but leaves the expert’s name out.
- Experts see which lead a matched invitation, a change request, a rejected bid or a quote decision is about, and which invoice was approved or paid.
- Customers see their request number — “A quote for request #26 is waiting for your decision”, “Rate the work on request #26” — and the invoice reference on invoice notices.
- Invoices are named by their reference, such as INV-26-1, for everyone who is told about them.
Two notices are now worded for the person reading them. When a customer is asked to rate the work, the lead’s managers and vendor are told “The customer has been asked to rate lead #26” rather than receiving the customer’s own request. When an expert sends a revised proposal, the delivery manager reads it against the lead rather than as a message meant for the customer.
The email button now names the record too, such as “Open lead #26” or “Open request #26”, instead of “View in app”.
