Proposals and bid review now sit with the service delivery manager
Bids on a lead are the service delivery manager’s to read and decide. Customer success managers no longer carry those surfaces at all.
What changed for customer success managers
The Proposals section is gone from the lead workspace, the bid-review action is gone from the actions list, and the proposals list is no longer part of your navigation. None of them were doing anything for you — the section was usually empty and the review action was never yours to use — so what is left is the work you actually own.
Everything commercial stays where it was. The quote on a lead still shows you which expert won it and for how much, you still approve quotes, and milestones, invoices and satisfaction scores are unchanged. You are still told when a bid arrives on one of your leads.
What changed for service delivery managers
Nothing to learn — the bid pool, the proposals list and the accept-or-reject decision on each bid row work exactly as they did. They are simply yours alone now, which is worth knowing when someone asks who is looking at a lead’s bids.
For administrators
The default permissions for the customer success manager role no longer include viewing or responding to proposals. If one person on your team genuinely needs the bid pool, you can still grant them both permissions individually — that brings the proposals section and its review controls back on the lead workspace. The separate proposals list page stays closed to them, since that page is opened by role rather than by individual permission.
