A rejected bid keeps the expert’s own remarks
A bid carries two kinds of note, and until now they shared one place. The expert writes remarks when they bid. Whoever rejects the bid writes a reason. The reason replaced the remarks, and the bid then showed a single “Remarks” heading with no way to tell whose words were underneath.
That mattered most when a lead was awarded. Accepting one bid rejects every rival on the lead automatically, so a pool of five bids lost four experts’ remarks in one click, replaced by the same line about the lead going elsewhere.
Both are now kept.
- Experts keep what they wrote. Your remarks stay on your bid whether it wins, loses to another bid, or is turned down — and reopening a bid to edit it no longer shows you someone else’s words in your own remarks field.
- Service delivery managers see the two apart: “Remarks from the expert” and “Reason for rejection”, each shown only when there is something in it. Your reason still reaches the expert in their notification exactly as before.
- Customers who reject a quote have their reason recorded the same way, against the bid it was built from, instead of over the expert’s note.
Rejection reasons already stored have been moved to the new field, so bids rejected before this change read correctly too. Remarks overwritten in the past cannot be recovered — they were replaced where they stood.
