A bid left open on an awarded lead is now flagged, and rejectable

Awarding a lead closes its bid pool: every other bid is rejected in the same step and each expert is told the lead went elsewhere. That step runs after the award itself has gone through, so on the rare occasion it failed, a bid stayed open with nobody told — and the only person who knew was the expert still waiting for an answer.

What you’ll see

On a lead that has been awarded, any bid still waiting on a decision is now called out in the Proposals section of the lead workspace, with a Reject action beside it. Rejecting it closes the bid and tells its expert, the same way a rejection always has.

You’ll see the flag if you hold bid review — sdm and admin by default. Accepting is not offered: a lead that has been awarded keeps its winner, and the platform now refuses a second award outright, from every surface.

Why a bid can be left open

Two reasons, and the flag tells you which when it can:

• The rejection that should have run when the lead was awarded did not, and the reason is recorded and shown alongside the bid.
• The bid arrived after the award. The bid pool does not close until the customer decides on the quote, so a late bid can still land and needs answering.

Either way the expert is waiting, and rejecting is what answers them.
