Inviting a customer who came in through your lead form now works

A lead that arrives through your embedded form creates a customer record with no sign-in account attached — deliberately, because the form is public and anyone can submit to it. You invite that person properly when you decide to.

That invitation used to fail. It stopped with “Customer record could not be created”, and it had already created a half-finished sign-in account and workspace membership on the way, which then sat there doing nothing. The address was stuck: every later attempt failed the same way.

Now the invitation claims the record that is already there and attaches the sign-in identity to it. You get one customer, with their history intact — no duplicate record, and nothing left half-created. The same applies to customers added by spreadsheet import.

If an address already belongs to a different sign-in account in your organisation, the invitation still stops — but it now says so plainly, so an admin can merge or remove that account instead of guessing.
