Every dashboard walk now ends with a plain written summary

Before a change goes live, the team walks a preview of the platform as each of the six demo personas — signing in, opening their dashboard and every page their menu offers — and records it.

  • A written summary at the end. Each walk now closes with a short account of itself: which personas passed or failed, how long each took, the pages each one visited, the first error where one failed, and where to find its video, trace and screenshots. Nothing has to be pieced together from raw output any more.
  • Run on request. The walk can now also be started for the team from an assistant session when someone asks for it. It checks its setup before a browser opens and says plainly what is missing.
  • Fewer false alarms. A dropped connection to the live-notifications service no longer fails a walk on its own; every other error still does.
  • Stays on the machine that ran it. Recordings, screenshots and the summary are kept locally; nothing is uploaded or sent anywhere.

An automated visual check of the dashboards was trialled alongside this and has been set aside for now.
