A declined quote no longer shares the customer’s reason with the bid pool

Declining a quote sends the lead back to bidding, so the experts about to re-bid on it are exactly the people reading the lead’s activity feed. Until now that feed carried the customer’s reason for declining — their assessment of the awarded expert’s price — where every one of those experts could read it.

The feed now records only that the quote was declined. This applies to rejections already on file as well as new ones.

Who still sees the reason

Nothing is lost, and nobody who needed the reason stops getting it:

  • The awarded expert is notified with it, as before, and it stays on their proposal under “Reason for rejection”.
  • Admins, CSMs and SDMs see it on the activity section of the lead workspace.
  • Rival experts in the bid pool see that the quote was declined, and nothing more.

What customers should know

Your reason still reaches the expert who quoted and the team managing the lead. It is no longer visible to the other experts bidding on your request.
