A bid shows when it was submitted, not when it was started

A bid exists from the moment an expert saves it as a draft, which can be days before they send it. Until now that draft date was the only one a bid carried, so the lead workspace showed it under each bid and labelled it “Created” — the one honest name for it. Anyone reading the bid pool to see what had come in recently was reading the wrong date.

Bids now record when they were submitted, and the workspace shows that instead.

  • Service delivery managers see Submitted under each bid in the Proposals section, dated when the bid actually reached you. A bid an expert drafted last week and sent this morning now reads as this morning’s.
  • Experts have the date fixed at your first submission. Editing your bid afterwards, or answering a customer’s request for changes, does not move it — and neither does pulling the bid back to draft and sending it again.

Bids submitted before this change carry their creation date, which is the closest date we have for them. For a bid that was drafted first and sent later, that reads a little early.
