Releasing a late request now asks for a new bid deadline
A request’s bid deadline is set when the request is created, so it can reach its release after that deadline has passed, or with less than 48 hours to go. Released like that, it used to be closed as unmatched before any expert had a chance to bid.
SDMs now see a New bid deadline field in the Release to bid pool confirmation whenever the current deadline has passed or is less than 48 hours away. The confirmation names the first day it will accept, and the new deadline is saved together with the release. Matched experts are then notified with real time to bid.
A request whose deadline is further out, or that has none, is released exactly as before.
