A figure’s definition opens with a press and stays open

On the overview cards and the figure pages, the definition behind the question mark used to open when you rested the pointer on it or tabbed to it, and closed as soon as you moved away. A keyboard user could open it but never reach “Read the definition”.

Now the definition opens when you press the question mark: click it, tap it, or press Enter or Space once you have tabbed to it. Hovering or tabbing past it no longer opens anything. Once open, the definition stays put until you close it with Escape, by pressing elsewhere or pressing the question mark again. From the keyboard, focus moves straight onto “Read the definition”, so Enter takes you to the figure’s dictionary entry.
