See who is assigned to a lead without opening the assign action

On the lead workspace, More actions used to read “Assign CSM” whether or not a customer success manager was already on the lead. There was no way to tell the two apart without opening the action, and nothing confirmed an assignment had taken.

Both assignment entries now carry their state:

  • No manager on the lead: Assign CSM, as before.
  • A manager assigned: CSM: Jamie Nisbet · change, with a filled indicator beside it.

The same applies to the service delivery manager. The name appears the moment you assign someone — no reloading the page to check it worked.

Changing an assignment

Opening the entry on a lead that already has a manager now reads Change CSM and opens with the current person selected, so you can see who holds it before you decide. Pick someone else and confirm to reassign; close it and nothing changes.

If the person currently assigned has since been deactivated, they are still shown as the selected option rather than being quietly swapped for the first name in the list.

For screen-reader users

The state is spoken, not just coloured: an assigned entry announces as “CSM assigned: Jamie Nisbet, change”, and an unassigned one keeps its existing wording.

The People section continues to list everyone on the lead with their role, the assigned managers included.
