Accepting a bid always sends the customer a quote
Accepting a bid moves the lead to Quote Review, where the customer decides on the quote. On some leads there was no quote to decide — the Quote section showed its empty state, no notification reached the customer, and the lead could not move forward. It happened on leads that had not come through the current bidding flow, so it was easy to hit and hard to explain.
Acceptance now produces the quote itself when one is missing, drawn from the bid you accepted: its price becomes the quote total, and the expert, customer and vendor come from the lead. The customer is notified once, and the quote is waiting for them when they open the lead.
What you’ll notice
- Service delivery managers — accepting a bid always leaves something for the customer to decide. If a lead genuinely cannot move on to Quote Review, the acceptance is refused and says so, rather than moving it somewhere it cannot continue from.
- Customers — a quote arrives when the bid on your lead is accepted, showing the agreed price, and you are told it is waiting.
A quote that was already sent to you is untouched, and you will not be notified about it twice.
