Invoices show tax, read Created, Sent, Paid or Overdue, and carry a reference you can read aloud

Every invoice now shows three figures: the price, the tax and the total. The tax comes from your tenant’s tax rate, which Sustentus sets for you; the rate in force when an invoice is raised stays on that invoice, so a later change never alters a bill already raised. What the customer is billed is the total. Revenue and earnings figures count the price only, so tax never inflates them.

An invoice now reads the same way for everyone: Created until a manager approves it, Sent once it has gone to the customer, Paid once it is settled. A sent invoice that has passed its due date reads Overdue, in red, without anyone having to change it — and it can still be paid exactly as before. Disputed and rejected invoices keep their words.

Each invoice carries a reference you can read out on a call, such as INV-26-1 — the request number and the milestone it bills. You can search the invoices list by it.

When an invoice is approved, it notes the finance system it passes to — “Sent to Xero on 12 Sep 2026” — if your tenant has one set up under integrations. Nothing is exported: the line records where the invoice went.
