Requirement documents show the service’s price, and customers are never asked for a budget
When a customer writes their requirement document with the assistant, it no longer asks what they plan to spend. The budget is the price of the service they chose: the document shows a Service price (from the catalogue) row beneath the service, from the first draft onwards — for example £5,000, or £1,500 / month for a monthly service. A service with no list price in the catalogue reads Not yet priced.
The price is shown, never counted: the document card now reads “N of 9 recorded”, and a document is ready to submit once those nine rows are filled in. The approved document on the request’s Requirements section shows the same row.
When the customer approves the document, the request takes the service’s price as its value until an expert’s bid prices the work. Requests that already held a budget a customer gave now show the service’s price on their document; the figure they held is kept on the record.
