ChangelogAn account is matched to an existing record only on a verified email address

Records are often created before the person they belong to ever signs in — a lead comes in through a form on a vendor’s site, or a batch of contacts is imported from a spreadsheet. When that person later signs in for the first time, we match them to the record already held under their email address, so they arrive to their own history rather than an empty account.

That match is now made only on an email address the sign-in provider has confirmed the person owns. Until now it was made on the address their account carried, whether or not it had been verified.

For almost everyone this changes nothing: sign in as usual and land where you always have. If your primary email address has not been verified, you will be asked to verify it before you can open the workspace, and signing in again afterwards takes you straight through. Verifying is done with whichever provider you sign in with, from the same place you manage your password.
